FRAUDULENT E-MAILS
Dear Customer,
We understand that there are fraudulent e-mails (also known as spoofing, impostor or phishing e-mail) going out to customers of various banks luring them to update sensitive account information like their credit/debit card numbers, User IDs, Passwords etc., by clicking on an e-mail link or by visiting a website.
Please note:
Bank of India does not seek such information in any form from its customers. Hence please do not part with this information even if you are asked.
If you receive an e-mail claiming to be from Bank of India regarding updating sensitive account information, let us know by forwarding the e-mail to Boi.Starconnect@bankofindia.com or contact the Bank using a telephone number or Web site address that you know to be genuine.
IMPORTANT: If you have revealed sensitive account information like your debit card number, credit card number, user ID, password, or other personal information in this manner, please inform us immediately.
To ensure that you are going to an authentic Bank of India site, type in entire Bank of India website address into your browser instead of clicking on any link directly. Always type in http://www.bankofindia.com into the browser address field to go the Bank of India website.
We reiterate that Bank of India acts at all times with diligence, in good faith, and without any intent prejudicial to the interests of its customers.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
Bank of India.
